Pole dancing

So I know my bloggs are usually more on the "this person pisses me off" vibe but um I do not have any problems with a story I read on the NY Daily News website.

There is a rumor going around that in the 2012 Summer Olympics in Rio Pole Dancing may be an event during the Olympics. UM I am all for it. I would imagine that almost every man I know will make sure they watch that event. Don't get me wrong we all know that it's not going to be a "Girls Gone Wild" type of an event, but it will allow a lot of men (and some women) to fantasize about a wild night they had or want to have at a strip club.

Man I can see it now, team Jamaica trotting their Pole Dancing team out to compete against the United States in a track like outfit during prime time TV. WOW! Wouldn't that be a cool event? I mean men will not be the only people that tune it because Pole Dancing appears to be the hot thing for ladies that want to get in shape.

I have no idea if the event will actually be apart of the Summer Olympics, but all I know is I am excited and will make sure I tune in!

So I vote YES to Pole Dancing in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Sad day

It's an extremely sad day when a fan of a player wakes up to reports that he is taking a turn for the worst. Steven A Smith reports that Sixers great, Allen Iverson, is on a fast path down the wrong street. At first I did not want to believe it but then I realized how close those two guys appear to be and that most likely what he is reporting is true.

Allegedly all the gambling and all the extra curriculum stuff Iverson likes to enjoy has started to catch up with him. Smith has said that Iverson needs someone close to him that actually cares about him to step up and try to slow down this train wreck.

It's very sad because Iverson at one point in time was a top 5 player in the NBA and now finds himself becoming a spectacle/side show! But these problems appear to be bigger than just basketball. His daughter is sick (although it remains a mystery as to what's wrong with her), his wife of over 8 years (she has been with him from day 1) has left him, and the one thing he is good at (basketball) appears to not be an option.

Man this is sad! Real sad! As a fan of Iverson I could care less if he plays ball ever again. Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching him play the game but I am more concerned with his well being than his NBA career. I honestly hope someone is able to help him. Maybe his college coach can help him because he seems to of had the most impact (positive) in Iverson's life.

I have no idea what it's like to lose a wife, or to have a sick child. But I do know it's not a good thing. As a humanitarian I wish him luck and pray that he gets help. If not I fear that one of the next stories we will read about him will be one remembering his life.

Please Iverson get help!
