The King!

So I am a big fan of King James, in fact he is one of the people I want to see win a championship before he retires, but what he did was corny! In case you didn't hear he made an official announcement saying he will not be in this years slam dunk contest. This is after he announced last year that he was. Shoot I was hype when he said he was, and when he did a dunk contest dunk in the All-Star game I almost jumped out of my chair. But now that he has backed out of the contest my opinion has started to change.

Is he scared? What is it? I mean he should know that if he enters he wins unless he misses every dunk he attempts. All the great dunkers in NBA history have competed at least once. MJ, Kobe, Dr. J etc they all did it. So what makes James so different? Is he really that scared to fail? Dag man it would have been great to see him in the event. But I guess we will never see him compete. That's sad because he would put on a special performance. He could have made it memorable. But instead he chills and allows his haters to have yet another thing to complain about.

So sad King James, so sad.

Come on

So I cannot be the only person on the face of this earth that feels like Mark McGwire's "apology" for using steroids was not sincere. I cannot be the only person that was able to look beyond the tears and realize it was an act. I mean I know many people have tried it since Mark and Sammy Sosa took HGH, but I'm not the only person that realizes he was the "set it person." If he never did it, Bonds and the gang would have not felt the pressure to keep up!

When I watched his interview with Bob Costa I thought to myself and said, "Are you serious...CHILD PLEASE!" This dude is only doing this because he does not want to be viewed as a cheater. Sorry Mark YOU ARE! You are a fraud and a large part of your success was do to your steroid use. You had the audacity to say " I was given a gift to hit home runs," and that you didn't need performance-enhancing drugs to hit the long ball. KEEP IT REAL!

Does he think that we are stupid? I hope not. Yes you pulled a fast one on us back in '98, but it is now 2010! No more Mr. and Mrs. Gullible! You had a chance to come clean in front of Congress, but you didn't. You had a chance to come clean numerous amounts of times. But you waited till you were back in the game to admit it. WHATEVER.

Just go sit down somewhere Mark and live your life, let those that are clean (if there are actually any clean players left) fix what you help destroy!

Be careful what you ask for

Ok how the season ended was horrible. Back to back losses to your division rival and not one game was close. The defense looked like a pop warner team playing against a high school team, and the quarterback did not play well during either game. So naturally most people in Philly are screaming "get rid of the QB!" But why?

I really hope Birds fans truly take sometime to think about how getting rid of Donovan McNabb may have its ups and its downs.

I mean what are the positives? You get to start over with a young QB but how much do you really know about him? I mean he could stink, or he could be great. But I'm bias, I want 5 to stay.

What about the negatives? What if Kolb stinks? How many times have teams been set back because of taking a chance on the wrong QB? Do you guys want to turn into the Browns? The Raiders? The Redskins? The Chiefs? The Bucs? I mean I can go on and on and on.

Yes I know it's all about winning a Super Bowl! TRUST ME I DO! Shoot I want to party on Broad St. I want to celebrate with ALL my fellow fans! I want to spend a check or two on Super Bowl merchandise! BUT I also know I do not want to turn into those teams I mentioned earlier. I would hate it if my team turned into a joke!

Yes the Eagles need A LOT of fine tuning! They need 2 safeties, another corner, another defensive end, and possibly another linebacker. Oh and that is just on the defensive side of the ball. They also need a few o lineman, but a new QB is the last thing they need.

McNabb is one of the best in the league. He may have some big game issues, however if you manage the game right he may not have the chance to mess up if you strengthen o line. Possibly run the ball more, and use the fullback more.

Man getting rid of 5 would be horrible, could end up being the worst move ever. Could turn the franchise into the laughing stock of the league. PLEASE DON'T DO IT!

Playoffs!

Playoffs! Playoffs! Yes it's that time of year again. Eagles fans are very familiar with the 3rd season. You know how the team goes on a crazy run and then the NFC Championship Game comes up and well we all know how it ends. Well not this year. I believe! I believe! I believe!

Yeah the Wk 17 performance against Dallas SUCKED! It left me on the couch laughing. Not because the game was funny, but because I have watched this part of the movie before. Although I was hype all week, telling everyone how the Birds were going to slap the Cowboys, and how Tony Romo was going to return to his January form, in the back of my mind I was a little nervous. Actually when I got to my friends house, I told him "I have a bad feeling about today." Boy was I right.

But I also have another feeling. A good feeling. I feel like the Eagles will fly high this week on the road to victory! I feel like Dallas will come into the game thinking it's going to be the same story that was told in Wk 17. But they will be wrong. REAL WRONG! On my twitter page (twitter.com/jerv215) many people decided to gloat after that game. It's OK, TRUST ME! Eagles fans will have the last laugh!

Man I have to stop writing because I am starting to get hype and Saturday is so far away. But MARK MY WORDS, the Eagles will move on to play New Orleans! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah I apologize to all my followers for the long break in my blogs. I'm back and 2010 will be a great year trust me!
